The Lifestyle

Four years ago I was diagnosed with scoliosis, which is a lateral curvature of the spine that occurs most often during the growth spurt just before puberty, causing me severe back pain which I struggled with for two years. The doctors didn’t help much, only putting me on strong painkillers or referring me to physical therapists who advised me not to train at all, to avoid the gym at all costs.

It just didn’t feel right to sit at home and let by body put on weight and lose shape. I got to the point there I put on 10kg, I was always tired and I’d run out of breath only from going up and down the stairs.

The change

I decided to get back into training, doing light exercises, trying not to engage or hurt my back at all. When I met Simon and discussed my health issues with him, he advised me to carry on training and he showed me a bunch of back workouts that were meant to strengthen the muscles in my back. I was struggling with neck pain to the point where I couldn’t twist my neck left or right. My MRI scan came back normal so again, the doctors did nothing to help.

I started following Simon’s advice and the pain went away.

I started following Simon’s advice, training three times a week and the pain went away. Two years of medication did nothing for me, and the answer to my problem was actually doing the opposite of what my doctors advised me to do.

I only started noticing results and seeing my body changing when I started following his advice and now I feel strong, healthy and unstoppable!

With time, I became very interested in my fitness and health, I lost 10kg and I learned a lot about nutrition as well. Being on a vegan diet meant I struggled to get the right amount of protein in my body, which only slowed my progress down and made achieving the results I wanted feel almost impossible. Simon was amazing at teaching me the importance of getting the right food in my body, which was the most crucial element when it came to building muscle. I only started noticing results and seeing my body changing when I started following his advice and now I feel strong, healthy and unstoppable!
